We chat with Stephanie Smith on new motherhood, life on the Gold Coast and her new-found appreciation for travelling local. 

Tell us a little about yourself...

Hello my name is Steph and I live on the sunny Gold Coast with my husband Josh and daughter Daisy. We are also expecting our second baby in October!

Whats your favourite part of life on the Gold Coast?

The Beach! Australia definitely has some of the most beautiful beaches in the world and we are very lucky to live right down the road from one. We also grew up here and both of our families and best friends live nearby.

You're at your happiest when…

My family is happy. There is nothing else more important in life than seeing my family happy and enjoying life!

 

  

Three things you can't live without?

Family, friends and food.

As a mum of (nearly!) two, what life lessons do you hope to impart to your children?

To be kind to others and to be a good person. I think sometimes we put too much pressure on our children to learn things too quickly. They are only little for so long. We try to approach Daisy with gentle parenting and go with the flow. I just want my babies to have a fun upbringing and to grow up to be good people.

 

 

When borders reopen, where will you buy your first plane ticket to?

Most likely Bali! We have been there many times and also got married there. We love the relaxed lifestyle they live. We have also done a little bit of travelling in the last month and it’s been nice to support some local towns.

 

 

Which steele pieces will you be taking with you?

All of them!! I love all of my steele pieces. Beautiful quality and materials.
